Job description

This position is part of the Engineering software group. You will be an active part of multidisciplinary teams and will design and develop mobile applications for custom, leading-edge hardware products.

Requirements

• 2+ years of Android development.
• Skilled Object-Oriented Analysis, design and implementation (Java OOP).
• Experience using Git.
• Experience integrating Android Apps with APIs and other web services via REST.
• Experience with Content Provider + SyncAdapter + SQLite Database for local storage.
• Ability to decompose the app into Fragments and load data via Loaders.
• Knowledge of Services, Intents and Broadcast Receivers.
• Understanding of code optimization and obfuscation via ProGuard.
• Experience collaborating with designers on vision execution.
• Process-oriented with ability to work with different UI materials and rapid prototyping.
• Ability to manage and prioritize many tasks at a time.
• A disciplined approach to development, testing, and quality assurance.
• Experience practicing agile development methodologies.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Flexibility with changing job requirements as the company and team grow.
