Fat-burning recipes: Pan-Grilled Salmon with Pineapple Salsa

Who said you can’t have a mouthwatering meal that also helps you lose weight? You just have to eat right, and when it comes to eating right, salmon is about as right as you can get. It’s full of lean protein, which is exactly what you need to feel full. Are you ready to fall in love with this meal?

Here’s what you’ll need:

1 cup chopped fresh pineapple

2 tablespoons finely chopped red onion

2 tablespoons chopped cilantro

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

1/8 teaspoon ground red pepper

Cooking spray

4 (6-ounce) salmon fillets (about 1/2-inch thick)

1/2 teaspoon salt

Got it? Now let’s cook!

Combine the pineapple, onion, cilantro, vinegar and pepper in a bowl. Heat a nonstick grill pan coated with cooking spray over medium-high heat. Sprinkle the fish with salt (don’t overdo it, salt holds in water). Cook fish 4 minutes on each side or until it flakes easily when tested with a fork. Top with the salsa you made in the bowl.
